Creating Floral Structures
Saturday, March 21, 2015; 1 – 4 p.m.
This entry level class provides the necessary background for creating structures, armatures and kubari for use in floral design. (The class is also a prerequisite for Floral Structures 1 and 2 offered at Studio Herbage.) Structures, armatures and kubari are used in floral design to control botanical materials for placement within a composition. Students will learn how to manipulate materials creating vertical, horizontal and composite structures using linear and flexible materials such as Cornus, Salix and Polygonum.
Tuition: $65, SVAN member $60, includes all materials, minimum 3, maximum 15 students.
